Why You Should Try S&R’s New Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza

Our family’s default pizza take-outs is S&R Pizza.

We like S&R Pizzas because they are “sulit!” At only P549 – P599 per gigantic 18-inch pizza, it’s less expensive than other pizzas, and they don’t scrimp on the toppings! Do you even wonder why there are always long lines for the S&R pizza at their stores? It’s not uncommon to see people going to S&R just to buy boxes and boxes of pizza. They actually make the effort to go pick up the pizza at S&R because S&R doesn’t deliver, yet.

The only thing I would ask for is for more variety of pizza flavors – S&R Pizza currently has 4-5 flavors on their regular menu, and sometimes put out seasonal pizza flavors.

BACON CHEESEBURGER PIZZA

So it was a nice surprise that the other day, S&R Membership Shopping invited me to try their new pizza flavor – BACON CHEESEBURGER!

Doesn’t that just look positively mouthwatering?

As you can see, the pizza is loaded with toppings! For the Bacon Cheeseburger, the toppings are beef burger, cheddar cheese slices, maple-cured bacon, onions, and pickle relish. It really does taste like a cheeseburger with bacon, and best eaten when all the cheese is still gooey.

I forgot to have the pizza cut to 12-slices instead of the usual 6. Check out how big these pizza slices are!

Of course, I should expect this from S&R Pizza, but I was still amazed by the amount of toppings – there was a lot of the little rounds of ground beef, and there was a lot of bacon – almost every big bite had beef and bacon. And the bacon is meaty, thick-cut bacon, almost like ham. The pizza edge is also thin – that is always a plus because you don’t want plain bread with no toppings, right?

To reheat the pizza, it’s best to heat them in the oven toaster or the oven. Microwaving makes pizzas soggy.

The whole 18″ pizza is P599, and is P109 per slice. The flavor is available at all S&R Membership Shopping branches and S&R New York Style Pizza branches from Feb. 13-March 31, 2015.

The good news is, you don’t have to be a member at S&R to buy their pizzas. The pizzas are now available at S&R New York Style Pizza Parlors at Le Grand Tower 2 Eastwood, Fairview Terraces, Festival Mall, Marquee Mall, Abreeza Mall, Puregold Cubao and Puregold Subic.
