I received this press release to share with my readers today. I had no idea what TrueMoney is so I did a little research on it. 🙂
From what I can understand, it is a network of small and micro businesses / agents who are able to process bills payment, load cellphone credits, and send and receive money (remittance), etc… Startup investment is small (they claim, I have no idea how much), and because of the easy setup, they are able to reach far-flung areas in the country.
With the partnership, customers in far-flung areas will be able to pay their bills at the nearest TrueMoney agent, because the Truemoney agent is now able to access the Bayad Center payment services. There’s no need to go to a bigger establishment that is usually farther away just to pay their bills.

FinTech company TrueMoney Philippines has signed a Partnership Agreement with bills payment center company CIS Bayad Center Inc.
The partnership will give Bayad Center customers in far-flung areas of the Philippines access to its payment services, thanks to TrueMoney Philippines’ nearly 7,000-strong agent network.

TrueMoney – whose shareholders include the C.P. Group from Thailand and Jack Ma’s Ant Financial from China– is the largest and fastest growing financial life platform in the region. From one market nearly two years ago, it is now present in six emerging markets in the region: Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia and the Philippines.
