Prepare your wallets! It’s that time of the year again when shoppers and bargain hunters get all excited!
S&R will be having their biannual Members’ Treat Sale next week, from Sept. 25 – 29, 2019! That’s Wednesday to Sunday!
And I’ve got the scoop!
EARLY BIRD SALE
Even though the actual Members’ Treat starts on Sept. 25 (Wednesday), you can actually start shopping the weekend before!
You know, there are a lot, and I mean, A LOT of items on sale during Members’ Treat, and there’s just no way they can all be prepped in one day, the day before the Members’ Treat. So, to make things easier for everyone logistics-wise, S&R has already started preparing the sale items and marking them down days before the actual Members’ Treat Sale!
In my experience, most of the sale items are already placed and marked down days before, so if you want to avoid the long lines during the Members’ Treat, just shop ahead!
The only things that are not yet marked down during the Early Bird Sale are the chocolates, candies, other food items and the B1T1 alchohol like Jim Beam, J&B. Those go on sale on the actual Members’ Treat Sale. The kitchenware, small appliances, furniture, etc… are generally already marked down during the Early Bird Sale ๐
And when you go to the Early Bird Sale, pay attention to which items are strategically placed in the “SALE” areas but are not yet marked down. You know, those areas near the entrance and at the front end of each aisle ๐ Chances are very high that those items will be marked down during the actual Members’ Treat, so if you’re interested in them, you can always go back to S&R during the Members’ Treat Sale!
Another good thing about shopping early is that sometimes, popular kitchen items are already sold out even before the Member’s Treat! So I highly recommend checking out what’s on sale days before and to already buy what you want if they’re already marked down, before they get sold out!
It happened to me last year when I bought a cookie jar on B1T1. I only bought one set to see if it will work for what I was planning to use it for. I thought I was going back to S&R in a few days, anyway, so if I liked the jars, I’ll just get some more then, there were plenty left! But when I went back to S&R during the Members’ Treat, the jars were already out! So lesson learned, if you find something you like and it’s a good deal, buy it na!

Always! ๐ Thank you for the comment!
I was been a member for a solid 8-long years in s&r but i got no good deals in renewal membership, no good benefits or any loyalty gift for so long years of patrnership as a customer. Unlike, landers is so generous in sale items and sharing freebies to a valuable clients. The true customers’ value is acknowledging the loyal patrons contiuously supporting all long years. We are only expressing our disappointments
Both of them (S&R and Landers) have their own pros. In terms of sale and variety of items, for us, we usually find more good deals at S&R and S&R has more variety of imported items. Also, their partnership with UniOil lets us get gas discounts at many stations with no requirements but the membership card, and we don’t have to go to S&R to gas up.
Landers naman is sulit for their P7 – P10/L gas discount (but limited time only and requires 3k receipt to get the gas discount voucher) and also for their free haircut ๐
I get what you mean about loyalty programs, and I’ll give your feedback to S&R ๐
