I’ve been testing out the realme Buds Q2 – this is the latest offering from realme, touted as the best budget TWS earphones on the market 🙂
Quick Summary
I highly recommend this for those who need stylish earbuds for making voice calls or video chats – for online school, Zoom meetings, etc…
If you are looking for small, unobtrusive, yet stylish TWS earbuds on a budget, check out the realme Buds Q2 and GET THEM FOR ONLY P890 DURING THE LAZADA 6.6 SALE HAPPENING NOW!
I’ve been using the Buds Q2 for two weeks to get a more accurate real-world usage experience. Here are my thoughts.
Things I Loved About the Buds Q2:
- It’s cute! The pastel blue color looks nice and clean and minimalist, but still cute! The pebble case is also quite small and light – it can easily fit into a small pocket or a small bag.
- It’s LOUD! The realme Buds Q2 is louder than any earphones / headphones / earbuds that I have tried. I like to be immersed in whatever I am listening to or watching, and with most other personal listening devices, I have to set the volume to at least 70% or higher (sometimes max volume). But with the realme Buds Q2, I only set it at 30%! Shocking for me, I know! It’s really loud – I highly recommend this for voice call type of uses – you can really hear what the other person is saying very clearly.
- Clear microphone – Even though the Buds Q2 are nestled in my ear, its microphone picks up what I am saying loud and clear.
- It has TWS!!! – the Buds Q2 has real TWS (True Wireless Stereo) – this means the left ear and the right ear can hear different things. For example, if you are listening to a piece of music, let’s say an orchestra piece, on the left ear, you may hear the cello, while on the right, you may hear the cymbal. If the music you are listening to was properly recorded in the studio, the music you will be hearing on TWS would be a closer representation of listening to the real thing. When watching shows, you can also hear sounds coming from different directions, for example, if someone is running away to the left, you’ll hear the footsteps on the left earbud.
- Has 3 sizes of earbud tips – I immediately changed mine to the smallest tip. The earbuds stay snug and don’t fall off my ears for normal activities, but I find that I have trouble when I’m eating while wearing the Buds Q2 as they tend to get loose when I’m chewing 😀
- No accidental presses – another thing that I really love about these realme Buds is that I have never had accidental presses with them, even when I’m fixing the earbuds in my ears. It’s something that annoyed me so much with my old earbuds (generic brand).
- Long Battery Life – I’ve only had to charge the case once so far! The case contains a battery that recharges the Buds Q2 every time you put them back in the case.
- Bluetooth Works with Many Devices – I’ve connected it to my laptop, my Smart TV, Xiaomi TV Stick, my phones, my tablets with no problems. I love using it to watch TV at night so that I don’t disturb other people in the house. I haven’t noticed any latency.
I like that the realme Buds Q2 doesn’t scream “Hey, look at me, I’m wearing earbuds!” It’s small and not too flashy, despite the baby blue color 🙂 Understated is the word.
Other Things About the Q2:
- Audio quality is acceptable – it’s okay. I wouldn’t recommend this for audiophiles. However, I think this is a good pair of earbuds to use for voice calls because of the loudness of the earbuds and how the microphone easily picks up what I am saying. It’s also good for listening to podcasts, streaming shows, watching videos, etc…
- No active noise cancellation – I got used to the active noise cancellation on my realme Buds Air 2, but that’s a more expensive feature from a more expensive model, I can’t really fault the Buds Q2 for not having it.
- No automatic pause when the earbuds are removed from the ear – this is also another feature I got used to on my realme Buds Air 2. But considering that the Buds Q2 is a fraction of the price of the Buds Air 2, I am not going to take it against the Q2 🙂
SUMMARY
The realme Buds Q2 is one of the better, branded TWS earbuds available right now. It’s regularly priced at P1,290, but grab it during the Lazada Mid-Year 6.6 SALE to get it FOR ONLY P890!!!
But wait, there’s more!
Here are some of the other realme deals you can score on 6.6!
The newest realme 8 Series phones will be P1,500 OFF on Lazada! The realme 8 will be available at a discounted price of P12,490, while the realme 8 Pro will be available at P15,490.
The realme Smart TV with a suggested retail price of P11,990 will be available for only P8,990, while the realme Watch originally worth P3,990 will be available for only P2,190 during Lazada’s 6.6 Mid-Year Sale.
Other AIoT products to be offered at discounted rates include the realme Powerbank 2i and the realme M1 Sonic Electric Toothbrush. Here’s my review of the realme M1 Sonic Electric Toothbrush – I love it! Brushing my teeth is faster and cleaner. It also takes a very, very long time before I need to recharge my M1 Sonic. I’m really amazed at how long the battery lasts (3 months+) on a single charge, considering how long I take to brush my teeth because I’m so meticulous!
Smartphones such as the realme C25 and the realme C11 will also be up for grabs for up to 12% off.
