Last weekend, we went to Meatsumo Panay Ave to try their Unli barbecue! Their claim to fame: they have 11 meats and 22 side dishes available!
The Meatsumo Panay Avenue branch is located in the Mandarin Sky Wok compound along Panay Ave – there is free parking available in the middle of the compound, but if that parking area is full, they have another parking lot about 50 feet away, also free. If you don’t want to walk the 50 feet, they have a shuttle that transports customers to and from the parking lot to the restaurant compound. On Waze or Grab, you can set the location to Mandarin Sky Wok Panay Ave. in case you can’t find Meatsumo on the app.

Meatsumo Panay has a 56-seat capacity. They use charcoal grills:

The new offerings for unli KBBQ keep on surprising me every time. I don’t know how they are able to pack more and more into a P500-ish price range!
This branch is new – it literally started soft opening this week. Full disclosure – I know the owner and that’s how we got invited to the dry run last weekend.

Water, red iced tea, sauces (sweet soy, chili sauce, sesame oil), salt and pepper tissues, etc… are available on the table.
Meatsumo Panay has developed its own sauce blend, which I highly recommend! Ask for the “special sauce” — we kept asking for refills of this sauce 🙂
So here we started grilling some peppered beef! Melting our cheese:
Of course, we had to drink some soju! This peach one is delicious – tastes very peachy – I know the alcohol content is high but it doesn’t burn the throat. P200 per bottle.
They also give FREE dessert! Dessert is this creamy, cheese ice cream. I wish I could get an extra serving of this, we all commented on how good it was. Unfortunately, you only get 1 free serving, hahaha.

11 Meats, 22 Sides for P549 net, what’s not to love??? 
I think it’s one of the most sulit Unli KBBQ offers so far. I’m really digging the 22 side dishes available! Lately, I’ve been eating more of the side dishes, especially veggies and pickles, to balance out the meats whenever I go to KBBQs, and I appreciate the variety available at Meatsumo Panay. And I like that the side dishes are done well, not just as an afterthought. Quality-wise, it exceeds my expectations for a P549 unli kbbq meal – the vegetables are fresh, the dishes look well-prepared, like they actually care to make an effort on the food 🙂
I wasn’t able to try everything, so I’m looking forward to going back to Meatsumo Panay again to try the ones i wasn’t able to try the first time. So far, I like the Peppered Beef, the Beef Yakiniku, the Kani Salad, the Calamari, Tempura, Miso Soup. I enjoyed the Kimchi Rice which was served with a fried quail egg on top (so cute)! I am trying to eat more kimchi because it’s supposed to be very good for our health (probiotic). And of course, I loved the ice cream dessert!!!
Service was attentive. The staff always offered to refill our orders. The place was clean, as expected, because it’s new 🙂 Overall, I’m very satisfied with Meatsumo Panay and can’t wait to go back again!
Finally, let’s not forget that they have FREE PARKING! 🙂 Yes, mabenta sa akin ang free parking, hahaha.
