LET’S GO TO THE CIRCUS!

Le Grand Cirque Araneta Opening

I watched the show with my friend S, we had a good view of performances from our VIP seats. There were many feats of acrobatic skill one after the other! I am not going to include pictures of all the routines so that I won’t give it all away. But here are some that I liked:

I really enjoyed this fire routine:

I know that these are feats of skill that are extremely difficult to do, but the performers made it look so easy!

The show was big on audience participation, and the children in the audience seemed to particularly enjoy the show.

The show lasted for about 2 and a half hours, with one intermission. To be honest, it’s not on the level of Cirque du Soleil. But then again, the ticket prices for Le Cirque Grand are very affordable, starting at P150 for general admission and up to P1,500 for VIP.

Those who have not seen any circus performance show before will most likely enjoy it. The kids in the audience seemed to enjoy the show very much! I remember how much I enjoyed watching these kinds of shows when I was very young. So grab the chance to watch one now in Manila at  affordable prices! However, as an adult, I have already seen several of these kinds of shows before so a few of the routines were not new to me, and I think it needs to work on cohesion and building momentum to the finale. And I really wanted the routines I liked, for example, the trapeze routine and the fire routine, to last longer! But children, definitely, will enjoy it.

Recommended for families / children.

Le Grand Cirque runs from Dec. 25, 2016 to Jan. 3, 2017 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketnet, prices range from P150 to P1,500.
