Thinking about what food to serve your family every day can be a drag, and actually making time to cook is really a chore for me. I think we have gotten into a rut with our meals and we often just cook the same old, same old meals.
So when Knorr launched their new Knorr Savor Rich Liquid Meaty Seasoning last weekend, AND they showed us how to use the liquid meaty seasonings with actual recipes from four of the country’s popular chefs, I was excited to try something new.
KNORR SAVOR RICH LIQUID MEATY SEASONING
I want easy recipes that I can cook without too much effort OR advance preparation. While I try my best to meal plan a week ahead, life happens and I just don’t have the energy to think of what to cook for the following week (3 dishes per meal x lunch and dinner x 5 days = 30 dishes). The 3 dishes are one main meat dish, and one or two side dishes like soup, vegetables or noodles. On weekends, my family’s on their own ๐ Most of us go out, anyway.ย But some Sundays, I make an effort to really cook ๐
The Knorr cubes have always helped me out when cooking stewed or braised dishes (made faster in the pressure cooker), and the Knorr soup mixes have done their share to make sure that soup makes it in time for lunch/dinner. So now I am excited to use the Knorr Savor Rich Liquid Meaty Seasoning for stir-fries and to marinate meats!
If you’re wondering what the difference is between the Knorr cubes and Savor Rich, the cubes are something you need to dissolve in liquid to make broth / soup / stew type foods, while the Savor Rich can be used as a sauce or a marinade. Since the Savor Rich is a liquid, it will be easier for it to penetrate into the meat evenly to flavor it as a marinade or sauce.
The Knorr Savor Rich Liquid Meaty Seasoning is available in two variants: Chicken and Pork.
KNORR SAVOR RICH LIQUID MEATY SEASONING LAUNCH
Last weekend, Knorr set up their test kitchen in the Greenbelt 3 park where Chef Nicco Santos of Your Local, Chef josh Boutwood of Savage and Helm, Chef Happy Ongpauco of Happy Concept Group and Chef Kalel Chan of Raintree Restaurants cooked their new recipes using Knorr Savor Rich Liquid Meaty Seasoning.
I was able to sample most of the dishes, and I was really happy to see a few things that I can easily replicate at home!
The Bangus Tofu Salpicao by Chef Happy is beyond easy with only 5 ingredients (plus oil for frying). I like that she added the affordable protein (tofu) to help keep costs down, as well as make it a tad healthier than it would be if the dish was purely bangus belly. I am excited to make it this week!
I really liked Chef Nicco’s Nasi Goreng Ikan Bilis, but fish cake is not that easy to find. I hope they’ll also make videos on these recipes so we can follow along ๐ I like how he turned these into something like onigiri to make the samplers easier for guests to eat.
Another dish that I also liked was Chef Happy’s Garlic Fried Chicken. The recipe is not yet up at the Knorr website. So far, the 2 recipes of hers that are already online are easy and not complicated. I’m hoping the same for the fried chicken ๐
The Knorr Savor Rich Liquid Meaty Seasoning is available in leading supermarkets and groceries nationwide. SRP is P6 for the 16g, P85 for the 240g, and P150 for the 480g.
