Who doesn’t want something for FREE? 🙂
Well, starting June 21 until July 20, 2019, HOOQ will Hooq you up with free access to Live Channels and 1,000+ local movies titles!
HOOQ announced two new enhancements during their media event the other day. One is HOOQ FREE, and the other is the HOOQ FREEPLAY FESTIVAL.
HOOQ FREE
Hooq is launching HOOQ FREE, which provides users with freemium content without having to register. They are trying to make it easier for users to watch on Hooq and get familiarized with the Hooq experience. The hope is that once you enjoy the Hooq experience, that you’ll want to continue having access by subscribing.
Hooq also has Live TV, which you can also watch without having to register! We cut our cable a few years ago and I miss having news and lifestyle channels to have in the background. I am able to catch these channels on Hooq now on my phones and tablets, but I have to buy an Android TV box to be able to watch Hooq on our sala TV.
But for some reason, the Live TV is only showing up on my Android devices and not on my iPad.
Here are the channels currently available on Hooq’s Live TV, which are available for FREE!
HOOQ FREEPLAY FESTIVAL
The HOOQ FREEPLAY FESTIVAL is a new quarterly streaming event where Hooq will shift over 1,000 local titles over the paywall to HOOQ FREE for the duration of one-month – from June 21 to July 20, 2019.
HOOQ Originals like Nadine Lustre’s ULAN will also be available on HOOQ FREE during this time. Over 1,000 local movie titles will also be available FREE!
Older Hollywood movies and TV series are also available on HOOQ (when you’re subscribed). I was able watch TV shows that I missed years ago, like Nikita, and am able to re-watch John Wick 2 🙂
Very recent Hollywood blockbusters are also available for “Rent” (usually for P125) – it’s still cheaper than a movie ticket, many people can watch the movie and you only pay once, and you can pause, forward and rewind the movie if you need to, all in the comfort of your home.
If you subscribe, you get one free ticket that you can use to rent one movie. You earn one ticket every month you’re subscribed.
There will also be another new HOOQ Original show, Sex Talks with Dr. Holmes, which is a 10-episode series that those who have questions can watch privately and anonymously on their HOOQ app.
SUBSCRIPTION FEE
For those who would like complete access to HOOQ’s Hollywood and regional series/ movies, you can subscribe for as low as P59 for 1 week or P149 for 1 month.
Aside from mobile phones and tablets, you can also watch HOOQ on the big screen using devices like Google Chromecast, Samsung Smart TVs, Android TVs, Globe Streamwatch powered by Roku, and thenew Globe Streamwatch Xtreme Prepaid.
You can access HOOQ via web at https://www.hooq.tv/, but I find that the apps provide a better experience and the apps have more options / settings.
