Globe GoSurf Doubles MBs, Plus Free Data for Mobile Games

What good news! Globe’s GoSurf has doubled its data allocations for some GoSurf variants.

For example:

• GoSurf299, which used to have only 700MB, now includes 1.5GB.
• GoSurf499 used to have 1.5GB, it now gives 3GB.
• GoSurf999 now gives 5GB, but between you and me, just register to the GoSurf499 twice to get 6GB and twice the Spotify & Games allocation instead for the same price 🙂

In addition, you can now play your favorite mobile games for free! You get FREE DATA for games depending on which GoSurf variant you register to.

From May 16 to June 30, 2015, Globe Prepaid, TM and Tattoo Prepaid customers can have more fun online with GoSURF because it comes with free data for playing your favorite mobile games!

Your free data for games will depend on the GoSURF variant you register to. If you register to GoSURF 99 and below, your free data for Spotify Basic can also also be used for playing selected games. If you register to GoSURF 299 and up, you automatically get 100MB for playing selected games on top of your additional chosen freebie.

Does the free data allocation also cover game downloads, updates and in-game advertising?

Sorry, but downloads, updates, and ads aren’t covered by the free data. Don’t worry, though, since your GoSURF MB allocation will be used when you download, update or check ads from your selected games. If you run out of your GoSURF MB, the regular browsing rate will apply.

Can I use the free data from GoSURF to play games within the Facebook Games platform?

No, GoSURF only gives you free data to play games on your phones as apps.

How much data do these games consume?

Most of these games should only consume up to about 5MB per hour of play, so you can be sure that you have lots of free data to use. When that runs out, don’t worry because you still have your GoSURF MB to get you past that frustrating level.

What happens if I run out of MB for my games while I’m playing? Will my game stop? Will I receive any notification?

You’ll get a text message alerting you that playing games will consume your GoSURF MB allocation, or be charged the regular browsing rate when your GoSURF has run out.

Does Globe still offer Google Play Direct Carrier Billing?

Yes! You can still buy your favorite apps or in-app items through your Globe Prepaid load. You can learn more about Direct Carrier Billing through Globe here.
