After our dinner at Nowana last weekend, I was still craving for some dessert so I bugged J to try out Gillian Gail. I became aware of Gillian Gail last week when I saw it on one of my Facebook feeds.
I don’t usually explore Katipunan but since we were already at Mother Ignacia Ave., what’s a little more distance?
Gillian Gail is located at the 3rd floor of Oracle Hotel & Residences along Katipunan. Parking is available at the hotel basement, but there’s a parking fee. You get a discounted rate of P30/35(?) if you have your ticket validated by Gillian Gail. The parking is for 2 hours, with additional charges if you exceed 2 hours.
Going up to Gillian Gail was like finding a secret haven. We didn’t know what to expect when we went up the small elevator to the third floor. When we found Gillian Gail, it was like, Wow! The place is so pretty! I am in love with their decor – it’s so clean and chic! But it’s also homey and won’t intimidate you while you eat! I don’t know why, but seeing small shops use the Ghost Chair just makes me want to patronize them the chairs look so clean kasi.
The place is small but doesn’t feel crowded. It seats around 20. There is a dessert buffet on one side, and a smaller table on another side has siomai, fishballs & kikiam. It’s all P299!
WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE P299 UNLIMITED DESSERT BUFFET?
You can get anything you want from that wall full of desserts! There’s ice cream, there are various baked cakes, cheesecakes, creme brulee, puddings, cream puffs, cupcakes, bars, cookies, candies, gummies, etc… You’ll definitely end up in a happy sugar coma!
For the Bread & Butter Pudding, don’t forget to have the staff prepare it for you – they add ice cream on top! Same with the Creme Brulee – let the staff know and they will caramelize some sugar on it so you get it fresh & hot!
Aside from the wall of desserts, you can also ask for (and keep on ordering!) other desserts that they make to order:
- Fried Palitaw
- Halo-Halo
- Mais con Yelo
- Ice Scramble
- Fruit Crepe
- French Macarons
My biggest regret was that I was not able to try everything! I totally forgot about ordering some crepes and macarons!
The Fried Palitaw is really good! It’s like the size of a mini hotcake, spread with some peanut butter on top and sprinkled with brown sugar and toasted sesame seeds! Really delicious – I kept ordering it and forgot about the others, hahaha
And if you need something less sweet to remove the umay, they also have unlimited siomai, fish balls and kikiam. You put some on a plastic container and give it to the staff – they will fry it for you.
They also have some nachos and a cheese dip.
Unlimited Drinks are included!
You can ask for Iced Choco, Brewed Coffee, Iced Tea and Hot Tea. I really like their Iced Tea (it’s red).
SOME THINGS TO REMEMBER REGARDING THE UNLIMITED DESSERT BUFFET:
- NO SHARING
- NO LEFTOVERS – otherwise, you pay an additional P299
- MAX OF 3 HOURS ONLY! – you may stay an additional 3 hours if you pay for another round of unlimited desserts (P299)
SUMMARY
Gillian Gail is a very good place to go to if you have a dessert craving. For P299, you can have all the desserts you want, with drinks! It’s really super sulit considering all the choices you have, and considering how nice the place is!
I like that the cakes are all in small portions – this means you can sample more desserts without forcing yourself to finish off an entire slice. They are okay, average.
I will definitely go back and I will be going for the Fried Palitaw again, and will make it a point to try the crepes and the macarons. I will also go back for the Bread & Butter Pudding, the Creme Brulee and the Cheesecake Shots.
Service is very good – the staff were very knowledgeable and attentive, and had such a positive vibe. They seem happy. Who wouldn’t be, if they worked around desserts all day?
AND THEY HAVE A PROMO FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE!

I’m so sorry about that. I wrote this review 2 years ago and went back once with my family a few months after.
Upon doing some googling, I found that this place is now called Andain’s Stylish Parties and Dessert Buffet. You can check out their FB page here:

They are also closed for renovation until further notice. I will add an update in the blog. Thank you for letting me know 🙂
