Last May, we discovered a delicious Pinoy Hotdog place that I will always remember every time we take food to the cinema. I wasn’t able to blog this sooner because the past two months were hectic with home renovation issues.
Franks is located inside Resorts World Manila’s gaming area, towards the back, but regulars have been making the effort to buy their hotdogs for takeout and bring them to the Newport Mall movie theaters to eat while watching a movie.
Aside from their regular American-style hotdogs, they also have 3 Pinoy hotdogs!
Their Pinoy hotdogs are really good! They come in 3 flavors so far:
- Chicken Inasal
- Chicken Pork Adobo
- Bistek Tagalog
The flavors are really IN the hotdogs. Unlike other hotdog flavors where the flavors are just sauces that are spread on top of the hotdog, Franks’ hotdogs are made with the flavors already in the hotdog filling.
The toppings are just additional well, toppings, and are very appropriate for the flavor. For example, the Chicken Inasal has garlic atsuete oil and some achara on the side. The Bistek is topped with sauteed onions and the Adobo is topped with fried garlic and adobo flakes.

The flavorful hotdogs truly embody the real taste of chicken inasal, adobo, and bistek.
Obviously, Franks makes its own hotdogs. ๐ The inasal, adobo and bistek hotdogs capture the essence of the inspiration dish.
We were able to try samplers of each flavor. There was no clear consensus on which flavor was the crowd favorite, because there were proponents for each of the flavors! Some liked the Inasal, some liked the Adobo, and some liked the Bistek best. This only means that all of them are delicious!
My favorite was the Inasal, but it’s a close tie with the Bistek! Adobo is a common flavor for me, and that’s why it’s third on my ranking.
Desserts at Franks are also quite good, and affordable at P75-85 per cup (versus around P120 for milk tea!). The size is a full-sized cup.
We weren’t allowed to take photos of the casino gaming area, so all the photos are facing the restaurant. They have more food than just the hotdogs ๐
We got our own hotdogs to go, Chicken Inasal flavor, of course, to take to watch the live action Aladdin at Newport Cinemas on the 4th floor of the mall, since we had already seen John Wick 3 a few days before. The hotdogs were packed well with hotdog trays on the top and bottom, then cling wrapped, to keep from being squished.
While we were at Franks, I saw several people order the hotdogs for takeout. At the movie theater, we weren’t the only ones enjoying Franks’, too! We were told that their hotdogs were popular for people to take out and bring to the movies.
Price for the hotdogs is P190 each.
The only cons about Franks is that it’s a bit out of the way. We all encouraged them to expand to more locations, and to put up small kiosks near movie theaters. The hotdogs really are that good for regular patrons to go out of their way to take out and bring to the Newport Cinemas, but it would be much better if the hotdogs were more accessible to other movie theaters, too.
But, if you’re in Resorts World, give Franks a try! I really want them to do well so they can expand into more locations because RWM is a bit far for me ๐ But when I’m there, I’ll definitely go back for these Pinoy hotdogs!
