Eat Together Capitol Commons Exteriors

Two weeks ago, I was invited to the opening of Eatogether Food Hall Capitol Commons. It’s a higher-end food court located at the second floor of Unimart, and it’s a very cool place to hang out, with good food, too! This is the second Eatogether branch (the first one is in Megamall).

I love the ambience. It doesn’t feel like a commercial food court at all. I love their chairs, and I appreciate that they made the effort to make it feel homey. The location is a bit out of the way, but parking is easily available at Unimart (P50 for 3 hours), and if you do your groceries at Unimart, then it’s just as easy as going up the second floor!

THE FOOD

Eatogether Food Hall Capitol Commons has 8 food stalls and one beverage stall. There’s steak, Filipino food, Italian, Chinese, salads and dessert. The food is curated by the Vikings group, so you can be assured that everything is up to par.

This is the Mango Kani Salad (P268) from Dessert & Salad. I like the combination of fresh vegetables for this salad and ordered this on my return visit ๐Ÿ™‚

I thought this was Roast Duck but it’s actually Roast Chicken (from Hawker Lane). It’s really good (since it fooled me!), and on my list to order on my next visit.

I also ordered this Sweet & Sour Pork with Peaches (P288 for a la carte) on my return visit because it was a delicious twist on regular sweet & sour.

These fried chicken (P199 each) from Secret Chicken are also very flavorful! I wanted to order them again on my return visit but I didn’t have room anymore. I will definitely be ordering them when I go back soon!

On our return visit, it was raining hard, so we felt like having Bulalo ni Lolo (P388, good for 2). It already includes rice. Extra rice is only P35 for this big bowl of rice! Good thing we were big eaters ๐Ÿ˜€

Sorry, J had already started eating before I was able to take a photo. The empty bowl was the Mango Kani Salad. We were still waiting for our Sweet & Sour Pork with Peaches ๐Ÿ™‚

Drinks are surprisingly affordable at P55 each:

CASHLESS PAYMENT!

Another unique thing about Eatogether is that they have implemented a cashless payment system. You can get a Vikings Reward Card at the entrance / reception area and load it up. The minimum initial load is P200. The payment system also accepts other debit cards and credit cards. Here’s a quick video on how to pay with the Vikings Reward Card ๐Ÿ™‚

You can use the Vikings Reward Card at other Eatogether branches, too.

SUMMARY

I actually like Eatogether at Capitol Commons. I love the ambience, parking is easy, food is good, and drinks are affordable!

It’s a nice place to meet up with friends and family, especially during the lean afternoon hours. The tables are not crowded together, and there is enough variety available that everyone should be able to find a dish they like.

During my second visit, I saw many families dining at Eatogether, so this is a family-friendly place. The location, ambience, and overall vibe also makes me feel safer than in a typical mall food court where I feel like I need to hug my bags the whole time while eating.

Price-wise, dishes average P200-300, but the serving sizes are big enough. What surprised me are the drinks, which are only P55. Other restaurants at the same level will typically charge P85-P130 for drinks.

I see myself going back to Eatogether if I am in the area because I really like the vibe there, and the food is good, too. I also like that there are many choices to choose from – we can order a Mango Kani Salad for appetizers, steaks for entree, bulalo for soup, baos for sides, and even pizza and pasta, all for sharing in one meal with friends/family!
