I’ve been seeing Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass for a while now in malls and supermarkets, and I have actually tried it several times when they offer samples at the mall.
When the wheatgrass craze swept the world several years ago, nobody knew what wheatgrass tasted like, except guessing that it probably tasted like grass. The various samples that I have been able to try over the years have actually changed my mind. In the past, I thought wheatgrass tasted like grass and, much like vegetables, was an acquired taste.
But recently, every time I tried samples at places like S&R, I found myself actually enjoying the taste of Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass. Tastes change. I used to hate the taste of vegetables, but now, I love most green vegetables, and my favorite leafy green is actually fresh arugula.
When I received these boxes of Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass from a friend, I was very excited to finally try a whole glass of it, and not just drink a tiny sample cup.

The tangy taste slows down hunger pangs, and may even suppress appetite with the aid of the high pectin in fiber.
Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass is FDA-approved and is the only wheatgrass brand that uses leaves and the roots for maximum amount of proteins, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and chlorophyll.
I am trying to live a healthier life while still enjoying good food, of course, so a delicious drink with all these nutrients will definitely help!
Here are the directions on how to prepare the drink: You basically dissolve the contents of one sachet in 200 ml of cool or cold water that is not hotter than 30 degrees Celsius.
Just like with the samples I had at the malls, I used cold water (200 ml) and stirred a sachet of wheatgrass into it. The samples at the malls are a bit thicker because they use less water, but 200ml for one sachet is a good enough ratio for me.
The Regular Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass
The flavor is “grassy”, but also light, and freeing. I dunno, I just felt lighter while drinking it, I guess, uplifted, probably. You may think it’s just a placebo effect, but I really did feel better. I actually enjoyed the “chlorophyll” taste – you know, that smell from freshly cut grass. It tastes very fresh. It’s a bit similar to matcha, but not quite as strong nor bitter. I like it with a little honey.
The Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass Lemon
The lemon variant has the same base, but has a stronger lemon flavor. It’s already slightly sweet so I didn’t add any more honey to it. The lemon taste reminded me a bit of lemon candy. I prefer the taste of the original / regular wheatgrass sachet.
The Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass costs around P30 per sachet, but I have seen it sold at S&R for P1,395 (50 sachets).
