It’s January, the first month of the year, and I found these cereals on sale at S&R (Shaw branch) a few days ago.
Whether you want to start the day with a healthier choice for breakfast or resolve to be more productive by getting out the door on time (with a very fast and easy breakfast), check out these items on promo right now
My favorite cereal happens to be Raisin Bran! I feel like it is one of the “healthier” cereals because it has a lot of fiber and fruit (raisins). I also like the texture better, but that is my personal preference. I don’t often buy cereal, but this Kellogg’s Raisin Bran is a good deal and this cereal, when kept in an airtight container, lasts a long time. I usually transfer mine to a big Ziploc bag. Instead of breakfast, I usually end up snacking on my raisin bran instead, like trail mix
This big box of Kellogg’s Raisin Bran (2.1 kilograms) is now only P479.95 (regular price P579.95, save P100)!
This Kellogg’s Special K Red Berries (crunchy rice & wheat flakes with real strawberries, 1.05 kilograms) is also on sale for only P469.95, from P569.95 (save P100):
These Raley’s brand cereals were also on sale:
Maple and Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal (10 packets) – ALL NATURAL FLAVORS for P122.95. This is actually less expensive than the usual branded ones I see being sold at the supermarkets for up to P16 per packet!
I took a picture of the back for your info (nutritional info, directions, ingredients):
Co-co Krunch (Frosted Rice Cereal) – P252.95 for a big 28 oz bag (794 g):
Frosted Fruit Rolls (Sweetened Cereal with Natural Fruit Flavors) – P252.95 for a big 28 oz bag (794 g):
This Krusteaz Chia and Hemp Breakfast Mix is also P100 less! It is now only P499.95 (was P599.95) for the 2.24 kilogram bag! If you love your breakfast pancakes, waffles, crepes or muffins, well, you can justify your craving by sneaking in some chia and hemp goodness! Chia and hemp seeds have a lot of health benefits, and deliver a lot of essential fatty acids, trace minerals and other nutrients, while having only very few calories.
If you are the type who likes oatmeal (like me!), I also saw a big can of Raley’s Old-Fashioned Oats for only P172.95 (1.19 kilograms). This is whole grain cereal, all natural oatmeal. For days when I am not in a rush, I like to cook some old-fashioned oatmeal. It actually takes me more than 10 minutes to cook up a batch (I like to cook them soft until the grains “explode”), and I really like the bite and chewiness of old-fashioned oatmeal vs. instant or quick-cooking oatmeal. It is also healthier because you get the whole grain, and you get more fiber, too.
Old-fashioned rolled oats is also the best oatmeal type to use for making oatmeal cookies, granola, etc… 🙂
I also saw this Nutiva Chia Seeds on sale. It was on sale for P649.96, P100 less than the regular price of P749.95. I have been thinking about buying some Chia Seeds for a while now, but always thought, “maybe later”. Anyway, with the P100 OFF, I finally decided to buy a pack. Chia Seeds are the “in” thing right now to add to all your smoothies, shakes and drinks. Chia seeds have a lot of antioxidants, fiber and Omega 3s. More on this on my next post.
