Black Scoop Cafe – More Drinks than I Can Try!

Spread the Love!

I’ve been back to Black Scoop Cafe three times before blogging about it because I wanted to make sure that I got a feel for all the available items on the menu.

I think that Black Scoop Cafe has the most variety of drinks available of any milk tea shop! Check out their extensive menu:

I’ve been to 2 branches – the one in Eastwood (2/F CityWalk), and the one in Kapitolyo (closer to home). These are the bigger branches that serve food. Black Scoop has smaller branches that are only kiosks and serve limited items (no food).

If their considerable drinks selection is making decisions difficult, they have thoughtfully offered a list of their bestsellers 🙂

I can’t believe they even have Pei Pa Koa flavored milk tea no one dared to order it but I think I will on my next visit to finally sate my curiosity.

For the drinks, I try different things every time, and so far I’m happy with my choices. They don’t scrimp on the things needed for the drink, so they were all flavorful, not matabang or malabnaw.

What is unique about Black Scoop Cafe is that they have the Black Mascarpone Swirl (P120) 🙂 This isn’t like the black yogurt that is sour. Black Scoop’s Black Mascarpone Swirl is actually very creamy and only a little sweet. This is the one I recommend to try.

For the food, I tried different things during my visits and here are what I liked:

I liked the Buffalo Wings (P180, 6pcs regular). I didn’t get the spicy version. The Buffalo Wings have a sweet, flavorful sauce, which is usually what I want in Buffalo Wings. This is a dish I would order again when we go back to hang out at Black Scoop Cafe.

I also liked their Spaghetti Bolognese (P235), which reminds me of classic 1980s spaghetti.

I liked the flavor / dressing of the Chicken Pesto Sandwich (P180), but the chicken was a bit dry. Hopefully it won’t be the case next time 🙂

The interiors of the branches that I have been to are very Pinterest-y, which I like. Casual, a little bit industrial. Here’s what the Eastwood branch looks like:

SUMMARY

Black Scoop Cafe is a nice place to hang out. The food is better than what you would expect from a milk tea shop. The prices are reasonable, and apparently, student-friendly, because I always see so many students hanging out there, especially at the Kapitolyo branch.

Also, even if you go to Black Scoop Cafe all the time, they have such a wide selection of drinks that it will take you a long time to go through all of them 🙂

What’s better is that they are targeting to open more branches around the country to hit their goal of 100 branches, so expect to see more Black Scoop Cafes!
