I got a HAIR BOTOX last week at the Bianca Festejo beauty salon. I went to the branch at Congressional Avenue in Quezon City.

The Congressional branch has 2 floors. The first floor is where all the hair procedures are done, and the second floor is where the face procedures are done. More on the face procedures on my next blog post because I also got an Ultimune Facial 🙂
WHAT IS HAIR BOTOX?
I had no idea what hair botox was. There are so many new treatments available now that I wasn’t able to keep up with all the hair trends. Anyway, they suggested hair botox for my dry hair.
Ever since I started getting white hair many years ago, I have been coloring my hair at home every few months, and of course, that has resulted in damaged hair. My hair looks frizzy! I have just been using regular conditioner on it and that’s it. I haven’t actually done any salon treatments for my hair in a long while, so I guess it was time.
So, hair botox – as I understood it, it’s a more intense keratin treatment.
These are the products used. The bottles are numbered 1,2,3 and 4.

THE HAIR BOTOX PROCESS
This is what my hair looked like before Hair Botox. I have hairband hair. My hair looks better after I comb it, but uncombed, that’s what it looks like. Sorry for the no-makeup face! I was getting a facial afterwards so I thought it best to go with to the salon with no products on my face.
First step was to wash my hair using Bottle #1 (Clarifying Shampoo).
After washing my hair, they dried it a little then applied a mix of Bottle #2 and #3 and let it sit for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, they blow-dried my hair and then straightened my hair with a hair straightener. At this point, my hair was still sticky with the products.
And then finally, they applied Bottle #4. It was left on for 20 minutes.
After all of that was done, they rinsed my hair again.

My hair felt soft and did not look frizzy. One thing I noticed was that my hair color that I had just applied the week before was removed and I can now see some white hair and black hair roots 🙁 On the plus side, my hair hasn’t looked this non-frizzy in years! 🙂
I don’t really mind the new hair color fading, I had used 2 packs of Glam Works Dark Brown and colored my hair at home. It’s not that expensive. But, just know that the products does have this effect if you have colored your hair with this kind of hair color.
AFTER CARE
They didn’t tell me anything about what to do or not do after the treatment except that I can’t get my hair wet for 2 days, and that I shouldn’t clip my hair or tie it in a ponytail.
That’s the only thing I had difficulty with! It was driving me nuts because it was so hot and I was sweaty and my scalp and hair felt oily. I asked if I could use dry shampoo but they didn’t answer me. So, tiis ganda! Fortunately, I had the treatment done on Friday afternoon and they said I could wash my hair Sunday morning kung di ko na talaga kaya. So I washed my hair on Sunday morning 😀
All in all, I’m happy with the treatment. My hair feels relaxed, soft, less frizzy, and not buhaghag. Maganda na yung bagsak niya. To maintain it, I just use a lot of conditioner and apply hair oil when my hair dries.
About the coloring, I can just color my hair again, anyway, and I plan to do so soon 🙂
It’s been 2 weeks since I had the hair botox and my hair still feels like my original “virgin” hair before I started doing hair coloring on it. It’s still not as frizzy as before and is easily tamed by applying hair oil and doing some mild straightening. Before I had hair botox, my hair would still show a little bit of frizz even if I used a hair straightening iron on it, but now, hair straightening is easy and often not even needed. 🙂
All I need to do now is color my hair as soon as it’s advisable to do so after getting this treatment.
