Even with the ASEAN meetings earlier this month already concluded, everybody still seems to be in an ASEAN mood!
Novotel Manila Araneta Center, located in the heart of Cubao, is having an ASEAN-inspired Street Food Festival Buffet at their all-day dining restaurant, Food Exchange Manila. The Asian Street Food Festival is from August 17 – September 3, 2017.
If you’re not familiar with Novotel Manila Araneta Center, they are part of the Accor Hotels group. The other hotels under Accor are Raffles, Sofitel, Fairmont, Mercure, Ibis. Novotel is Accor’s family-friendly, mid-scale hotel brand.

- Celebrity Chef Sau Del Rosario features his Singaporean and Vietnamese takes like Vietnamese Fresh-Spring Rolls, Laksa, Bakuteh, Hainanese Chicken, Telur Goreng, Char Kway Teow, Bami Goreng and more.
I have done a few posts on the buffets and food stations at Food Exchange Manila, please read them for a general overview of the buffet, here and here.
Despite being an “Asian Street Food” themed buffet, this buffet still has the usual food like the Beef Bulgogi, Dahls, Pilafs, Chinese station with cold cuts, noodles, etc…. pizzas, roast meats, grilling station, soba, fruits, beverages, salads, etc…
I tried the Asian Food Festival Buffet last week (lunch), and here are some pictures of the street food!
There’s a Dimsum Cart going around:
Sisig Paella – must try! This is one of Chef Sau del Rosario’s specialties.
If you like Indian food, look for this guy, Chef Rajan! You can also ask him to make some fresh naan. Just ask him what else is available that he can make for you 🙂
I don’t know what these are called, but I love them! You poke a hole into the hollow balls and fill them up. See the video!
Takoyaki!
They also have dirty ice cream!
There’s also something new! They have a coffee machine now. Instead of signaling for the waitress to get you some brewed coffee, you can just get coffee yourself, and even choose from several coffee drinks! It’s located in the beverage section.
