If you didn’t know, there’s a new show called Lip Sync Battle where they invite two celebrities to a lip sync battle. It’s sort of a spin off from The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’s lip sync battle, but with more budget for props!
Lip Sync Battle is not really a serious reality show. It’s just like watching your friends do some lip sync karaoke and seeing them trying to outdo each other, but still having fun.
Lip Sync Battle is fun to watch because the celebrities don’t take themselves seriously and they all look like they are having a good time just goofing around.
I’ve seen Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson lip sync and dance to Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, and I’ve seen Joseph Gordon Levitt do a very impressive Nikki Minaj Superbass on The Tonight Show, but Anne Hathaway’s recently aired “Wrecking Ball” was just the most epic lip sync I’ve seen.
It was hilarious and such a parody of Miley Cyrus’s wrecking ball video, I’m sure it’s going to go viral. Who knew Anne Hathaway was so game to do this? Such a lovely sense of humor!
Now, who hasn’t seen Miley Cyrus’s Wrecking Ball MTV? It was everywhere in 2013 and everyone was making fun of it so bad.
When Anne threw off her clothes, it reminded me of Shakira in The Voice. Flinging clothes off during a performance is a Shakira trademark, LOL. And when Anne started licking the glittering hammer, it nearly killed me, I was laughing so hard. It was such a spot on Miley Cyrus impersonation! Who can forget Miley and her tongue?
And then she actually ran and got on a wrecking ball! OMG! Kinareer! I admire her commitment! Hahaha.
Okay, Anne Hathaway, you are not only a dramatic actress, you’re an awesome comedienne as well. You had me at “Wrecking Ball”. From now on, I promise to watch all your movies! Just keep doing these awesome things!
