Earlier this week, I was invited to an AirAsia event where they unveiled their latest Celebrity Chef Series meal — Chef Hong’s Sweet & Spicy Chicken — the latest addition to their Santan inflight menu.
Chef Hong Seok-Cheon is a Korean TV personality and restauranteur. The sweet & spicy Korean fried chicken is his childhood comfort food, and it is now available on AirAsia for only P140!
The buzz I’ve been hearing is that AirAsia has good, affordable meals. I haven’t had the opportunity to experience their inflight meals myself, but I’ve taken a look at their promos and I must agree, it’s probably the most reasonably-priced inflight meal I’ve seen!

I was able to try Chef Hong’s Sweet & Spicy Korean Fried Chicken because it was served to guests to sample. It was not too spicy, I would rate this as medium hot.
I was also able to try AirAsia’s Wintermelon Milk Tea. You guys know how much I love milk tea! AirAsia’s version was very sweet but delicious! They don’t use black pearl but instead use a brown sugar jelly. The point is, you can get milk tea on board your flight! I never thought that travelers could get their milk tea cravings fulfilled during the flight, but on AirAsia, they can!
For a light snack, you can get their Tuna Melt for P80.
